Fort Richardson

The electrical distribution system does not include production of electricity. Electricity is procured from Anchorage. Natural gas is supplied by two different suppliers in Anchorage and the distribution system is relatively small. The water treatment and distribution system includes a water treatment plant, the water distribution system, including a connection to Elmendorf Air Force Base, and maintenance of the Ship Creek Dam and reservoir.

The wastewater collection is a system to collects wastewater and transports it to the Anchorage wastewater system. There are no wastewater treatment facilities at Ft. Richardson.

There is one off-site facility included in the Ft. Richardson solicitation. Seward Army Recreation Camp in Seward, Alaska is approximately a 2 ½ hour drive from Anchorage. It is a small compound, mostly used in the summer.
